Saw the movie Sissy recently and really enjoyed it. It was kinda like Pearl but a lot better IMO. Where I found Pearl very hard to sympathize with, cause like she was just kind of a self absorbed brat, I found Sissy/Cecilia way easier to root for. On paper she's kind of a monster by the end, but for some reason I still wanted things to work out for her. And she's a social media influencer too, I don't know why I was so on her team. Maybe it was because everyone she kills was just that insufferable. Or maybe it's cause she got bullied a lot and even if she's some weird boujee content creator you can see the humanity in her that just felt absent in everyone else. I felt more worry for Cecilia getting caught than I did worry for anything Cecilia might do to someone else. Maybe what this movie really revealed is that I'm also a psycho to empathize so hard for her.

So yeah good movie. Both very dark and whimsical at the same time, funny and nerve wracking. Very enjoyable in a way that makes me want to examine 'hmm why did I enjoy that'. Thought it was a really good balance of horror comedy.
