The only people the ports aren't a great thing (directly) for are WiiU owners

I own a Wii U and a Switch, I could care less if they port old games. There are just multiple reasons they shouldn't. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe started a craze with everyone who didn't own a Wii U now suddenly thinking Nintendo would port their entire Wii U catalogue worth playing. They didn't do that with the GameCube, they ported Metroid and Pikmin, that was it. I'm not blaming the consumer for the failure of the Wii U, I'm blaming people who wanted to play Wii U games but didn't get the Wii U and instead are waiting around for the company to kiss their ass and make their dreams come true. Truth is most of the games people want Nintendo to port are due for sequels or aren't relevant anymore. Just because you missed a generation of Nintendo console doesn't mean you have the right to act entitled and self-centered that the entire new console should cater to you missing out on the previous console. People bought this for new games, if they wanted to play Wii U games that badly they should have bought a Wii U. If they're fine with missing out on them and letting Nintendo decide what to bring over then let bygones be bygones, but the entitled posts of "Nintendo needs to port X game" need to stop. Yes there were games on Wii U that would have gotten more attention on a higher selling console but that doesn't mean Nintendo is going to cater to your wish fulfillment. And finally, despite your name having dick in it, this is an online forum based around discussion and differing opinions, just because I disagree with you doesn't give you the right to be an assumptious "dick" to me, so calm down. I own a Switch, I love it. But porting every Wii U game in existence looks bad for Nintendo and makes them look weak and reliant on old games. Like it or not Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tooks months of resources away from Nintendo, which is fine because MK doesn't exactly need a completely new sequel, but most other franchises are due for new games, not ports of games that came our 3-5 years ago.
