that stuff isn't really about the songwriting anyway, it's about the mixing and production. and the image. i wouldn't be surprised if ai is used as a tool in creating that kind of music. ai powered drums and bass lines and more. I can see these being tools a lot of people are using. but I don't think they'll make the whole thing whole cloth. kinda talking myself in circles here. but I think there's a big difference between AI creating a single image (like we're seeing happening now) and creating an entire song. the AI created songs I've heard to date are incredibly impressive on one hand but absolute trash on the other. in some ways I'm hopeful that AI can't ... fuck I don't know man. what is happening and why do we do anything? like if humans aren't even going to make art, why fucking live? i kind of think the luddites have it right. maybe there should be laws against AI's making art.
