Will camera's have subscription based options in camera's in the future?

The rationale for things like Adobe CC to be subscription based is partly because users are paying for cloud storage on servers that users don't actually own. People who don't utilise the cloud can and already do pirate the software.

With cameras once you buy the hardware it all belongs to you. There are no qualms for piraters to crack the software limitations and distribute them. It is already being done for artificial limiters such as the 30 minute time limit for video and 3rd party firmware like magiclantern etc. Not only would it induce a huge ripple of outrage among the whole industry, it would hugely encourage cracking the software and mean that whatever manufacturer is stupid enough to do this would be selling their highest end body for the cheapest possible price. Also consider that there is actually a cost to producing cameras with the kind of full range capability outside of software. Sony doesnt simply price an A9II 8 times the cost of an A6000 just because it is targeted at pros. If they spend the hardware producing a camera capable of that many focus points and buffering capacity, you best believe theyll ensure if works as such and price it accordingly.
