Will a Computer Science degree lock me out of the "creative" aspect of game design?

That last part is important though. I've been in a similar position. I chose product development as a major for the marketing and strategy aspects because I was already strong and naturally interested in the alternative Interaction Design major. I loved design, art and illustration so I figured I'd grow broader as a whole with the added benefits of the other major. Something I still regret today, because in the end, even when I get into a position related to design, I'll get pushed in the direction of management or marketing eventually once those positions need a hand. And those positions make it harder to express your creativity which might broaden the distance to the spot you really enjoy.
