Will Evernote Die Out?!

As a long time, faithful Evernote user, I definitely agree with what you are saying. There are some omnious signs that Evernote is not in good health: 1) They have not substantively developed the product 2) They have a nasty habit of releasing software this buggy. Case in point: a recent version of Evernote for Windows made the content of my offline notes (which is ALL of my notes) disappear. They were gone. Turns out they needed to be ONLINE after all. The last update also made my typing experience seem like I was slogging through as swamp. This is so bad, I actually DREAD Evernote updates. Which is pretty awful. For virtually every other software/service provider I look forward to updates. 3) Evernote has not really made a roadmap of the product publicly -- and easily -- available. No roadmap, goin' no where.

I wish things were better for Evernote. I know they were on the financial skids a couple of years ago. Phil Libin was replaced as CEO (that's rarely a good thing when the creative genius behind something is bye-bye). I thought things would improve when they moved their servers to Google, with a promise of AI.... well that hasn't happened. Same old, same old.

Sorry, folks.... this patient called "Evernote" is gasping for breath and it sure ain't looking good.

The ONLY reason why I've stuck around for Evernote is it's excellent use of tags, which I use extensively. Otherwise, I'm looking elsewhere...
