You can technically get fired for going 1 hour negative. Back when they did quarterly UPT drops my site would always post in the installments the day before the drop that it didn't matter that at 11pm you went negative by 1 hour and then at midnight when the UPT dropped it brought you back into the positive that you would still be held to the attendance policy.

I saw you had a doctors note, I had the same issue where onsite HR wouldn't accept it but then I filed a medical leave of absence on AtoZ and provided the doctors note along with what was going on and it was approved almost immediately. It was unpaid but it at least excused me for the time I needed. You only get paid if you need 7 or more days off and the first 7 days will be unpaid and then you'll be paid 60% of your normal check going forward until you return.
