Will French & German have regions as well?

The fact that French and German are conflated makes no sense to me in the first place.

It might make more sense when you learn how 23andMe says they created the groups.

They let a program divide all their samples into groups. THEN they labeled them with the name of the country that made the most sense geographically.

And why there's a group for French-German-Switzerland-all-the-other-tiny-nearby-countries.

It's also why the Spain-Portugal group includes almost half of southern France.

Their "regions" and "genetic groups" are a great remedy for this. Since these groups are actually based on geographical location, instead of the country-level groups that aren't.
