Will be going home to find my license in the mailbox....I have a stack of cash....What should I buy!?!?!!!???

BOOM, INCOMING LIST! Things that you are about to experience as a firearms owner in Canada!

1.Get PAL and RPAL at local gun store course (google) or through a hunters association (google)

2.Get .22LR rifle (Ruger 10/22, CZ-whichever, Savage Mk II, Marlin 795)

3.Spend money on shit bulk .22 LR ammo, learn from mistakes (fuck Winchester 333/555/666, Remington Golden boy/Bucket of Bullets), start buying quality ammo (CCI is good stuff, Federal bulk is good too)

4.Shoot a shotgun and go buy one right after (Maverick 88, pre-2007 Remington 870 or an old Wingmaster, Mossberg 500/590/590a1, Weatherby pa-08)

5.Shoot a pistol grip shotgun and never shoot a pistol grip shotgun ever again

6.Hear about SKS/Mosin Nagant/SVT, want to buy SKS/Mosin Nagant/SVT, get SKS/Mosin Nagant/SVT, hate cosmiline familiarization project

7.Start looking at centerfire bolt action rifles (Ruger American, Savage Axis/Trophy Hunter/ TH XP, Remington 700, Tikka T3, Weatherby anything), budget the rifle + rings (Leupold or Weaver) + scope (at least >$250 so: Redfield, Vortex, Leupold) = significant percentage of life savings, decide against bolt action rifle

8.Get bolt action rifle + rings + scope, cry yourself to sleep

9.Buy a handloader to justify bolty purchase with "reloading will save me thousands of dollars!"

10.Start eye-raping pistol aisle at the gun store

11.Budget for pistol + range membership + dealing with ATT/CFO/RCMP/POS/WTF = maybe not worth getting a pistol

12.Get pistol (Glock 17/19, M&P9, CZ 75, Sig 226 for 9mm; Ruger 1911 for .45 ACP) anyways Hear horror tale about RCMP/police inspection/raid/hearsay and get spooked, in panic buy a gun safe to replace perfectly good cabinet/case/drawer/spot-under-the-bed that was being used to safely store your firearms in perfect accordance with the law.

14.Look back and realize you've dumped thousands of dollars into this hobby, promise yourself you'll stop and consider what you're doing with your life

  1. Start AR-build project, give up on life and spending money on anything else, ever. :P

I believe we have /u/the_crover to thank for this list.
