It will take me a total of seven years to complete engineering. How ruined is my life and should I be Honestly ashamed to death?

Lol, I have completed engineering, I am 22, and I am unemployed.

FOR YOUR CAREER:

Getting that damn degree is nowhere near important. Have a very good network of friends and teachers. Keep contact with any person you know who works in a company.

Realize what the people of different companies want from you. They don't want to see your degree. They want to see what you can do. So focus more on your skills, including soft skills.

Make sure you work on different projects that will get the attention of the people who will eventually interview you in the future.

FOR YOUR SELF:

I can understand your frustration. This "engineering" is forced on most of us by our parents. But we are left with little choice.

Your best option is to specialize in something related to the field you are currently in. For example, a person studying mechanical engineering who finds cars interesting is better off learning most about cars.

I have felt like killing myself countless times. My career, ruined. Thanks to my idiot parents. But I am starting off with something else now. Some people start off at an even older age.

In the end, it just doesn't matter. People are going to pick on you for many different reasons. It's better to ignore everything else and focus on the things you like and spend time with the people who care.
