Will my education affect my SDDI

I was in a similar situation in the past. I believe you can work with a program that helps you with a job or go back to school to get skills. I know there is a limit how much you can make and how many hours of school needed to gain employment. If your goal is to get your GED and work I think you’ll be able to do this as long as your use ssdi resources. Keep in king Ssdi will assume your going get off benefits eventually. They may do a CDR review. If you can work full time and go to school then your not disabled. If you work it go to school part time they will ask why you can’t go full time. Also if your over your SGA limit when you that will trigger a 9 month work period so you can get off benefits. It’s too risky for many people so they don’t try at all. For many the risk of losing benefits isn’t worth it. I r talked to lawyers who are against working or going to school because it can trigger a CDR to make sure your still disabled. I would try to find some other way online and self teach yourself using free videos to get into a field of study. I’ve heard too many people that have been kicked off the program for attempting to better themselves through going to school full time or working. It’s case by case also. Good luck
