Why I Will Never Trust A Tickle Me Elmo Again

This reminds me of a family member's story: She lived at home with her mom and dad, and her room was in the basement (young adult). One day she rearranged her childhood stuffies, etc. and noticed for weeks afterward that she would wake up flustered at 3:00 a.m. like clockwork. She didn't feel scared but something was off and would consistently wake her from a dead sleep. Anyway, she had mentioned it in passing to a friend and her mom and the mom asked her if her room had changed. She said the only thing was that her stuffed toys were on the other side of her bed because there was more room and some other things were on a shelf. All her friend's mom said was, "Well, he probably is reaching over you for the toys." This made my family member's blood run cold. She started to remember little things from her childhood like running down to her room after supper so "the little boy in her room" wouldn't mess up her Barbies, etc. Needless to day, she put everything within "reach," and no more early morning wakeup.

Also, she spoke to her own mom who confirmed a little boy had died in their house before they bought it.

Sometimes it's not always sinister.
