'She will not step foot in my house': Woman goes viral on Reddit for claiming her own mom won't babysit for less than $20/hour. Why many new parents struggle with skyrocketing daycare fees

Maybe, l did not make myself clear. My daughter, has never ever made me do anything in her house as to, clean, do laundry and cook, but groceries or all the pampers. I have always done these things on my own because my desire to help plus my love for my dtr, son-in-law and my grandchildren.

The only thing my dtr did ask me to do was watch the children as newborns because she did return to work so soon after delivery. For this she has shown appreciation.

But , l commented all this because the original post stated her mother, the grandma, expected payment for babysitting her own grandchildren. I commented because of the irony of it all.

So much that l have done, without expectation of any compensation what so ever , only a show of a little appreciation.

I can not understand, human nature, you do what you can and yet, one can feel sad . Here l am doing my very best and yet what..... your efforts aren't appreciated.

I am still, in the U.S. l am returning to the Caribbean the next Sunday. My daughter still doesn't know l have been here.

God Bless
