You will be okay. You have no choice.

I feel sorry for people who believe that free will doesn't exist. It is not a scientific fact. We do not understand consciousness yet so let's pump the brakes with the free is an illusion talk. There are 86 billion neurons in the brain perhaps there is an undiscovered mechanism in our biology that may account for it. Also, physics and science should not be viewed dogmatically. Who knows what can be discovered in the next 50-100 years that can impact the free will conversation. We may understand it better with emerging AI as well. Bottom line, unless they come up with a study that can predict complex tasks ( i.e. predict verbatim entire sentences you will speak before you speak it), not crude one's like the Libet study, then you cannot definitively say we don't have free will. Also, we must live as if we do have free will because IF they're wrong then you have let criminals off the hook and sabotaged yourself psychologically ( i.e. free will is an illusion folks are submissive & less driven personalities because they believe they don't have authorship of their lives)
