[Will Parchman] "Whatever happens with Pulisic at Chelsea, America’s insistence upon ignoring FIFA rules is robbing PA Classics, the club that developed Pulisic, of about $730K in solidarity payments off the transfer fee. Tragic."

Honestly, whatever is said about U.S. "futbol" I laugh off. But this business practice makes me want to put my fist through a fucking wall. Why does every god damn function of youth sports have to be attached to a fucking dollar sign? My uncle and dad were talking about their old weekend league teams this Christmas and the public fields they once played on. To use those same pitches, the parents and coaches have to get special permits and pay club fees just for their kids kick a fucking ball around. When I was a kid, football was so new, there was like a 25 dollar medical exam fee and that was it.

And then, when one of our few academies do produced a genuine talent, the system swipes up any fees like a fat merchant grabbing his unpaid intern's 20 dollar customer tip. It's practices like this that are absolutely strangling the potential of soccer in this country.

Sorry, End Rant
