First, Ravens havent announced anything yet, but Snead retweeted the news by Adam Schefter, so it looks pretty official to me. Just putting this first so that people dont think its fake because the ravens have said, like it happened to me.

As I've said it in another post, it is a great move. He is an underrated part of our run game and a reliable WR. 3 (Snead, Roberts, Moore) of our 6 WRs are UFA, one of the remaining isnt playing (Scott), so resigning Snead is a pretty good move imo.

The move doesnt necessarily mean a trade is coming, although it does look like it. It frees up around 2M, which puts us at around 4M, enough to make a move for a rookie contract player (non 5th year options), but cap space is also needed to finish the season when player get injured and you have to sign others, so the extension could be just to get Snead for another year
