It is most definitely running in the Python interpreter. It’s an interpreted scripting language. Have you done any research on the internals of Python or read the Wikipedia article? It is quite literally described as an interpreted scripting language. Also, just because something isn’t natively installed, doesn’t mean it isn’t supported by the operating system. Most programs people use on a day to day basis aren’t installed by default (e.g. Chrome or Photoshop) and for you to use that as a determining factor as to whether or not a language is good makes you look silly. It’d be like me saying the Rust programming language is bad because it isn’t already preinstalled with Windows despite it being a really good programming language that has gained a good amount of traction in even the past year with more and more companies backing it.

PowerShell might already be installed, but it’s not as good as Python. Not everything has to be native for it to be good, like I said. PowerShell, like I also said, works really well for simple scripts, but Python is superior and has far more flexibility and capabilities.
