You think people have time to learn the terminal? They want their programs, not become a hacker. In Windows, you only use the terminal for two things. for internet settings in 1995, and to make commandos 1 work on steam. So the whole idea of writing invocations is totally stupid and weird to any normal user. But yea, most new distros have an app store, but learning about repositories and dependencies is another hurdle people will have to jump over for no apparent reason.
