Is Winnipeg boring?

I came to Winnipeg when I was 4. I've been here my entire childhood/early adult life. The Winter in Winnipeg absolutely brutal. If you hate the cold, you're pretty much sitting inside for 5-6 months waiting for warmth. Summer is amazing but very short. Housing is affordable, but wages are low. I find the people who love Winnipeg tend to be the ones who have never left. Once you leave, you realize what a shitty place Winnipeg is to live in. From the awful infrastructure, shitty transit system, cold dark winters, short summers. Mosquitoes in the Summer used to eat you alive, but they seem to be in much lower populations lately. I've attempted to "embrace" Winter throughout my years here, but I just can't. I'm stuck here for now, and I'm pretty miserable. Anyways, downvote away since I know this isn't going to be a popular opinion about our "one great city."
