Wisdom teeth

I am not a dentist, and I'm poking around here because I asked a question-- just a forewarning.

But, I was in your position and decided not to have them removed. I had gum tissue covering about 1/2 of my wisdom teeth, so they were pretty hard to keep clean. I guess I didn't keep them clean enough and ended up developing an abscess under one of my wisdom teeth (about a decade after I decided to keep them). It went from no pain to slight jaw ache to I think I'm going to die in 24 hours. I got the teeth pulled on an emergency basis (more expensive) and needed IV antibiotics to clear the infection and it was just awful.

Just a warning of what can happen if you choose to keep them and don't keep them clean!
