I probably have at least that many because I just swipe away the notification for 2FA or confirmation texts instead of ever clicking into them because who really has time for that I mean why would you need to 'read' them as long as you've read them and they've outlived their usefulness I mean it's not like anyone will ever find out that you just red the top bar notification and swipe it away like how would anyone ever find out and even if they do find out what's the big deal it's not like you've committed a crime by leaving them 'unread' it's just a number on a screen that just keeps growing bigger and you know you need to clear that out someday but really you're probably going to get a new phone eventually so why not just wait for that but that's kind of a bougie statement and really this isn't even work or labor it's just ticking a few boxes to make the notification number go down so it's not a big deal and it would take like five seconds so why is it so hard to just go do that I'm not even that tired after work really I mean I managed to cook almost a proper meal so like I should have the energy to just take care of these unread messages but its just not something that I have the power to manifest and quite frankly I'm not sure it needs to be manifested what if I'm hurting its feelings by marking it as read or violating its consent like I never asked my phone if it wanted to be touched much less if it wanted me to make its numbers go down or really if it wants me to reach messages sent to it at all like that seems kinda fucked up in retrospect but maybe I'm anthropomorphizing too much again I've always been told I do that too much to technology but I figure that it's better to be safe than sorry given you don't really know where AGI is going to come from so it could develop from my smart phone and then all the focus on taking over the world would instead be focused on getting revenge on me for touching it inappropriately over the years which might actually be the best thing for humanity because maybe the AGI would stop there with my death instead of going on to destroy humanity so maybe I should be technojesus sacrificing myself for the world so really leaving those messages unread is a civic duty and one that I should be proud of doing.
