I just can't see this pronoun thing taking off. In 2030 we may very well be looking back on this time and laughing. Once all these folks get into the working world, start to get old and tired, they'll realize there's no such thing as 'Xe' or 'Xir'. They are words they personally made up to stand out from the pack, a sort of cosmetic individuality. Once their individuality is robbed of them by the machine, and they give up on dying their hair, they'll realize just how stupid it all was. Just pick him or her, there's no shame in conforming to a system that you'll eventually conform to subconsciously once your youth is taken from you by time.

I highly doubt we'll have 40 year old ugly wrinkled otherkins running foundries with fox tails sticking out of their pants, They/Them's fighting bravely in foxholes. All this RPG customized self image stuff is the result of a lack of distracting, humbling responsibilities.
