I wish rappers would stop glorifying xanax

anyone saying Xanax is OK for recreational uses, I've been where you are before and I'm only addicted to it from a couple weeklong "recreational"(I justified it as recreational but it was really more than that, shit tricks you) binges.

Same with any drug though. Comes down to the individual. Some people can have a recreational drink, some people will alawys end up just drinking more and more if they have a couple. I've not tried a drug myself that it isn't true with, or seen any scientific research that suggests otherwise.

Now obviously shit like xanax is far riskier than some other drugs you can get hooked on due to the physical effects of withdrawal and how quickly they can come on (compared to alcohol which can be dangerous but takes months to reach the stage you will die from withdrawl). But the same rules apply, if you actually research the drug and how it works, and sensible dosage managment, etc and are cautious you can take xanax recreationally without any problem. If you just pop it like it's nothing you'll get addicted, if you start making excuses like "I need it to sleep" "I've had a bad day" you will get addicted and so on. Problem is benzos and prescription opiates normally appeal to people who are already feeling shit and not managing their lives properly, so it's much rarer to have the functioning recreational user you can see with other hard drugs.

Complete agree with your mesasge overall though. I've never done Beozos more than a couple of times but I did get addicted to prescription opiates when I was younger (around the same age you were when you got hooked on xanax actually, and I'm the same age as you now, I am also currently teaching myself programming after wasting years, no original stories is there? lol).
