With all the discussion of Bungie hating Titans, Warlocks being OP, ect. I thought to look up some stats for the various classes for PvP...

Your Ghorn example is exactly the opposite of logic. With Ghorn you can look at the numbers. It does 3-4 times the damage of other rocket launchers, you don't have to feel it's OP, because data shows that it is. Whether or not people have it, we know the raw data on DPS, so it's a horrible analogy that completely goes against your point becuase statistics show Ghorn is most definitely OP. I'm willing to bet usage statistics show that also, regardless of its availability. Of players that have ghorn damn near 100% equip it for Crota or solar burn strikes.

I'm sorry you aren't able to get my analogy and even saw something that wasn't there (fast food? who said anything about fast food?) The analogy works if you can understand it. It'll come to you.

I know when I'm a sunsinger, I can play a little more recklessly because if I get in close I can melee myself into a flameshield, and once I have fireborn I can run into a group of three, shotgun one down, melee another and get killed only to pop up and finish the other two easily. That is an engagement I will not venture with a Titan or Hunter. Likewise I don't pop my Titan super around a corner and jump out to try to kill multiple enemies. That's something I do with a Hunter super because of its design.

Again, you've used nothing to prove your point except your own emotions and feelings and your biased interpretation of perks and which ones you "feel" are OP (OP as a term implies opinion, and without actual evidence your opinion cannot prove something is OP), which is fine, but not very authoritative. Perhaps the numbers are misleading, but at least he's presenting more evidence than just his own biased opinion to make a point.

You're problem seems to be that you think people play each class the same so if one has an advantage in one area then it is OP by definition as opposed to being an advantage of that class (see the Beagle's phenomenal post on classes not being inherently OP, as his opinions are backed up by sound logic instead of feelings). If you don't have range on your melee, you don't use a regular melee. You also aren't going to take a single hand cannon shot and press the melee from 20 feet away like you can with a gunslinger to throw a knife. I only look to get melee kills as a titan (for IB for example, by running MK stand asides and looking to get 10 shoulder charges, then switching to a different exotic for other benefits.)

I sympathize with your view, but in the final analysis, your opinions cannot be used to prove something is OP. You need some kind of evidence other than your opinions on OP-ness of perks.
