A whole thing of letters: "EarnCards" (my concept of a new TITANFALL3 game mechanic):

•they are loot packs that contain skins/executions/etc which can ONLY be unlocked through gameplay (there is NO way of getting these packs via money, but you can buy skins via money or just credits)

•you earn different tiers of them by being 1st, 2nd, 3rd or lower place at the end of the match (tiers are Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron)

•you can unpack any ONE EarnCard before any match (you "wager" one pack per match, idk how many items per card)

•at first, you temporarily unlock the skin/animation/etc, so it's still wagered you and can use it for that match only (wagered = diagonal scanlines across the skin, which alternate between colored and greyscale from scanline to scanline)

•you keep and permanently unlock it if you finish the match and place at least as good as when you earned that EarnCard (means you fully unlock Golden EarnCards by placing 1st, Silver EC by placing ≥2nd and Bronze by placing ≥3rd at the end of the match. lower tiers are unlocked by finishing the match)

•you "shelve it" if you place lower than when you earned the EarnCard (forever losing the items of an EarnCard might be harsh, so maybe it only gets shelved or sumn, idk)

•certain EarnCards and their contents are lost forever if you don't place at least as good (seasonally or just very rarely do you get EarnCards of tiers Obsidian, Platine or other cool materials, that grant you GOOD THINGS AND STUFFS)
