With the help of volunteers, we cooked 46 Turkeys and trimming yesterday, will be serving 700-800 less fortunate guests and giving away 104 turkeys- my 17th annual event [oc]

All these comments about the turkeys... when OP specified these are less fortunate families... let me explain something, some of the families that come to eat this, it might be the warmest most filling food they have had in weeks if not months... when you put an animals life above kids eating a spoonful of peanut butter for breakfast lunch and dinner, you are part of the problem. Lastly, there is no amount of bean/rice or vegetable that will fully replace the proteins a piece of meat will give you... There is a time and place for all these things, talking about animal rights when entire families are starving doesn't make you a better person..
