With her permission, my mother's results and her senior photo.

She never looked very Slavic/Eastern Euro to me.

My grandmother was from the same region of Poland that this woman's grandmother was from (Podlaskie). My grandmother had very dark hair, and looked similar to this woman. Her last name was "Zukoski", which means dark hair in Slavic and Baltic languages. In Russian the name is Zukhov. Northern France has Nordic genes, at least in the Normandy region. The Brittany region of France is highly Celtic. Many parts are Germanic. Parts of what we know of today as Southern France were supposed to be part of Italy. Southern France is on the Mediterranean sea. Look up speakers of the Occitan dialects to see how Italian looking some French people are. It's just bizarre that people think they know a "French look" when France is so damn diverse. It's also bizarre that people think they can eyeball nations and determine ethnicity on phenotypes. Not too bright folks.
