With Obama's signature, U.S. religious freedom law now protects atheists

I grew up in a christian family. My parents went to church and my grandparents were fairly religious.

We stopped going to church on Sunday mornings when I was young because "I didn't like getting up early". (I was under 10 years old).

Instead we went sailing, played cricket, practiced rugby.

I grew up know about god, but not following in any sort of footsteps.

I was allowed to choose my own path in religious freedom.

The majority of New Zealanders are non religious, partially because of the heavily multicultural background. We've got a lot of Maori who believe in different gods. We have Pacific Islanders who believe in something different. We have South east asian and Chineese and indians and muslims.

Believe what you want to believe, it's no skin off my nose. I'll even come go to different religious ceremonies with my friends and families .. there's no judgement at all.

I've been to midnight mass, Sunday schools, I've been to Catholic weddings and buddist temples. I've celebrated marriage at a Hindu wedding ...

I don't choose to "not believe", it's just who I am.
