With out god who or what would be our moral compass

I feel like you’re still not understanding the point here. I’ll try to restart, and just ask a few basic questions.

1. Do you think an action can be “immoral”? If so, what makes an immoral act immoral?

2. Is the answer to the first question, “When the vast majority of society does not want it”?

3. If this is the answer, what is your explanation for the transient and fleeting nature of public opinion? It was once common consensus that slavery is perfectly ethical, and should be legal. Does that mean that slavery was a moral act at any point in time when the majority wanted it, and only became immoral when that stopped being the case?
