Before that was even released, I highly doubted it was going to release in 2019. I think we'll be lucky to get it by 2021 honestly.

My reasoning is that they are using the same guy who is directing Kingdom Hearts 3 and he was the first director for FFXV I believe. FFXV only came out when it did because another director supposedly took over and was like "We need this to release asap guys. Let's go."

He's already said that he wasn't going to put any more effort into the FFVII remake until KH3 was released and done. And knowing how long he has spent on these other two titles, I have a feeling it's going to be awhile before we see the FFVII remake.

That being said, he makes high quality games - they just take a really fucking long time.
