Health Care - People don’t go to the doctor. A single payer health care system will end extortion, creating a need for hundreds of thousand new nurses, clinicians, case managers, doctors, and other medical professionals, and keep families together longer, healthier, and better looking. Too many know someone who has died because treatment was delayed, appointments were impossible, and a known cure was unobtainable, because we don’t have the staff to help all Americans, including the working class. This has got to change. An American shouldn’t fear a doctor, or his billers.
Infrastructure - Estimated to create and maintain 13,000,000 new jobs, almost half of the those currently unemployed, or underemployed, and make the American worker an asset, not a trading card.
Education - Many of the new jobs will come from engineering, medicine, education, IT, electrical, construction and other highly educated fields. Bernie’s wants Americans to succeed in taking the BEST jobs, by educating ALL Americans, not just the wealthy, for jobs that provide a nice house, good clothes, and dignity for families.
Jobs For Women, Minorities, Youth, Equality - Bernie rejects shielding discriminatory employers from pay periods older than 6 months, set by Ledbetter v Goodyear. In addition, Bernie will Ban the Box, create 1,000,000 jobs for disadvantaged youths, and raise minimum wages to $15 / hr.
Crime - We lock up 2.2 Mil ppl every year (90% male), and hold 30% more men behind bars than any other country in the world, including China. Bernie Sanders will demilitarize the police, decriminalize marijuana, ban the box, and restore hope to working families; with good jobs, with baby-family-medical care, and will end protection of systemic discrimination, restoring true freedom, and return a half-million non-violent men to the economy.
Climate Change - Working for clean energy will not only slow the “Sixth Mass Extinction”, but will also Advance America, by leading in Solar, Geothermal, and Humane Agriculture, creating hundreds of thousands new jobs and opportunities.
Minimum Wage - Workers with more to spend put it right back into the economy on consumable goods they desperately need, such as food, clothing, & healthcare. This demand will fuel small business with a newly robust, affluent consumer base for consumable needs, creating thousands of new jobs in day care, home repair, and personalized service.
