Without saying "weather =/= climate" can someone explain why it's so fucking cold if global warming is true?

Just want to get this out there: Global warming is not a myth. The average temperature of the earth is rising and statistics will point to that.

What’s up for debate is the source of the warming. Is it the fault of humans or is it the beginning of a natural spike in temperature that has happened again and again throughout history? I tend to believe it’s more natural, but I’m sure humans have a slight impact.

So to answer your question: Let’s say it’s -10 degrees in Boston. How does that negate the fact that the average temperature of the earth is rising? Or that the ice caps are melting? There’s going to be areas that are extremely cold - and that has absolutely nothing to do with global warming.
