[Wojnarowski] The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul, first-round picks in 2024 and 2026, pick swaps in 2021 and 2025, league sources tell ESPN.

Sam Presti is a genius. He’s the only person that could trade away two hof players and a really solid pf for an aging superstar, a big promising pg that can’t shoot, a sweet shooting wing that can’t defend and a stockpile of late first round draft picks. His greatest trick is convincing Thunder fans and local media that his coach is great at developing MBA talent, which is truly conjecture. Listen, college coaching hof’ers Pitino and Caliprari we’re incapable of rebuilding in the NBA but we’re being lead to prove that Donovan, without any evidence, is the college basketball player whisperer. Alas, this reeks of a desperate gm bound and determined to take the heat off his head coach so the hot take in OkC has become Presti is going to save OkC through the draft, Donovan is the right man got a rebuild and George and Westbrook are the reason that OlC could merely win three playoff game in three seasons. If OkC does make a comeback it’ll have to be through the draft. They won’t have a choice because they’ll be the odds on favorite to be the lottery winner the next five years. But Thunder fans that think it’s going to be LAC 25-30 overall picks the next six years are sadly naive. Get ready for the assortment selections akin to those late round Thunder picks of Cole Aldrich, Darius Bazley, Perry Jones III, DJ White, and Alex Abrines, for Presti is laughing all the way to the bank. At least for the next six years.
