Other states are looking at the name of Kerala as God's own country with derision. The increasing violence against women has tarnished the good name of Kerala. Such incidents tarnish all the excellence of the state. The reality is that not a single day goes by without incidents of violence against women. Most recently, the incident of a young woman who was in the intensive care unit after a surgery at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital was molested by a hospital employee is bringing Kerala down. After the surgery, the woman was sexually assaulted after she was under anesthesia and could not even move her limbs.
