Woman claims United Airlines paid her $75 'hush money' after man masturbated next to her for 'hours'

Right? I mean it's awkward but just sit up and push the call button at minimum. What is the guy gonna do, assault you on a crowded plane? It sucks but you need to DO something in the moment. Hard lesson but true.

I mean... I know we don't truly know how we will all react in those types of situations unless they happen- and freezing up is common. But you need to realize that won't fix anything, push through and ask for help and articulate through your emotions.

I've discovered, though I wouldn't have guessed it, my reaction is to get aggressive and get angry. To the point I'll risk myself running at someone in a bad situation despite being a small chick who is normally introverted... hello, adrenaline!

I'm not sure it's a "better" reaction- no joke, I have nearly died because of it*- but at least I know I will stand up for myself and others. Even witlessly. A happy medium is best... but hey, at least in a crowded plane you're unlikely to die from unleashing the righteous anger.

*A burglar we caught in the act. Husband tackled him and his wife was waiting in a car nearby and tried to run me down, to get him free.
