A bit off topic, but it’s kind of ironic that I am saying this, given that my wife was literally a communist when we met. She was born in China, joined the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) in her teens, came to America for college, met me, smoked a little weed, realized she had been a robot until that point (her exact words, not mine), cut ties with the CCP, and never looked back. She will (finally) be a legal US Citizen by 2020 and is so excited that her first vote ever will be for Donald Trump lol.

Looking back, the biggest factor in her transformation was her ability to communicate with non-communists: she actually worked hard in English classes because she wanted to learn the language, instead of just cheating for a good grade like the rest of the class
