Women of BJJ...how long did it take at your academy to feel like you were “part of the team”?

In my experience women at the gym have alot going against in the gym.

They tend to take their rolling less seriously.

They tend to receive preferential treatment.

They tend to be taken less seriously by other partners.

They tend to be distracting when they're especially attractive.

They tend to be more risky to roll with, especially so with the current climate of sexual assault and false allegations. Two false allegations these last 2 months (we have cameras.)

All this generally leads to women being poor training partners to invest time and energy into. Of course, there are exceptions but in general being a women in a man's sport is going to have large challenges.
