How is that a gross oversimplification? Look at all sections of history to see how the right to vote was first given than taken away from women because of modified laws that intended to allow only white males to vote. Did women fist signed up for that and than gave up? Another justification for not leting them vote was because they didn't build houses. But guess what? Maybe this is about not conditioning this right. The general consensus was anyway, that a woman's inferior mind to that of a man of EVERY KIND, shouldn't let them vote. And this draf thing seems like the general trap they wanted to catch women in because they did have two braincells necessary to realise sending them isn't a practical decision. Half of women take care of kids and the other get the vote if they fight? How is it an oversymplification that there was an institutionalized burning of widows, that disobey your husband was legally a crime, that men, in so many of their popular works fantesized about ending the entire womankind and replacing them with men that can give birth, that there were medieval instruments specifically designed to harm female genitalia even though all try to convince you that never happened?
