Women of reddit, what about men baffles you the most?

There's also a firm line between flirty and friendly. I have a rule about never asking out waitresses, because I worked in a restaurant, and got to see that from the other side. But there is perfeshional friendliness, flirting for tips, and straight up flirting. The bank teller in my original comment was very likely being friendly, and unintentionally flirty. Telling me stuff about her personal life, and "oh I also work at (restaurant) in town". The barista knew me by name, would write flirty stuff on my coffee cups, and was generally just beyond friendly. The waitress, which I broke my rule about wait staff for, I did so after everyone at the table all agreed we thought she was expressing genuine interest, and even when I texted her she still seamed to have that interest, but still ghosted me.

Though I do acknowledge your point that I could have been interpreting their actions wrong, these were three examples of times where it seamed they were beyond friendly, and I was still wrong. So now, as a guy, I wait for someone else to make a move.
