Women of Reddit, what are things men write on their dating profiles that are instant deal-breakers?

Gosh golly, nearly everything you say is either speculation, judgement or back-pedaling.

  • I never met any of those weirdos in person.

    • "I have met some of these people in real life and I guarantee you this is their obsession." So you're just making an assumption those guys you met in person do that, or did they tell you? Why would they tell you such a thing?
  • I guarantee you these guys are not sitting around with their friends on these dating apps.

  • Problem is, you can't guarantee that. You aren't/weren't there. See above about speculation. (Unless you were there, in which case you're a creep).

  • This was not Tinder which is entirely different.

  • Tinder falls under the bracket of 'online dating'. It's one of the most common platforms. It's not different to anything else.

  • And I never said that women were the only ones that were on the receiving end of this, now did I?

  • Correct, however you strongly implied it. "You're not a female and you're not getting these messages from dudes". Are you trying to say that receiving such messages is only bad if they come from a dude? Back-pedaling, like I said.

  • I just know that the guys I talk to who get crazy messages from women don't deal with this in particular.

  • You don't know that, you're going off what you've been told. Anecdotal evidence. I personally have dealt sexual harassment, from women, and physical assault, from women.

  • You did not have my experience because you are not me. So don't negate my experience because you're not me.

  • Wherever did I say I have your experience? Where did I negate it? My original point was that you should be open minded to the fact that some of these are simply fucking with you. I've seen that first hand. I even said that there are creeps out there, but a lot of those kinds of messages come from guys taking the piss.
