Women of reddit, what kind of tagging/writing is on the walls and stalls of a women's bathroom?

Well...

I was actually a janitor at a high school, for a few years, to help pay for my university tuition when I was doing my degree.

So at night I would help clean the local high school. Since I was just a temporary/non-permanent janitor, I, of course, was ALWAYS with the bathroom-cleaning duty.

THE GUY'S BATHROOM:

rampant with graffiti threats of violence, death, and plenty of images of penises. (As a heterosexual dude, I never quite saw the appeal of drawing penises everywhere, but apparently some guys dig doing this.)

All of the mirrors in the guy's bathroom were also long gone: broken and shattered into countless tiny bits. Toilet paper dispensers were also pretty heavily damaged, in terms of the plastic being burnt and melted countless times by some pyros with their lighters.

Also the toilets in the guy's bathroom had to actually be bolted down with steel bars, to the floors, because for a while there was this trend in which a group of guys thought it was particularly hilariously funny to unfasten the entire toilet, and carry it into the middle of the hall, and then run away.

I admit, I too found it funny the first couple of times. But the joke got old pretty quickly after that, even amongst the students, and yet this group of guys persisted in doing this, as some sort of pointless, strange, teenage ritualistic purpose.

IN CONTRAST, THE GIRL'S BATHROOMS:

In the girl's bathroom there were plenty of intact, non-shattered mirrors, with lots of lipstick kisses on the mirrors.

Each day, I had to remove all the lipstick kisses on the mirrors, and sure enough the next day, the mirror was covered with new kisses.

There was also plenty of graffiti in the stalls, mostly consisting of hearts, proclaiming their love for some guy (and even a couple of hearts proclaiming their love/desire for other girls).

There were also actually some LONG DISCUSSIONS graffiti, in the girls' bathroom about deeper psychological issues and feelings, including, sadly, long descriptive thoughts about suicide and depression, and how teachers, parents, or boyfriends failed to understand them, followed by responses/answers from other girls urging them not to kill themselves.

So essentially the girls tried to share their feelings, and convince other girls not to die, while the guys threatened to make other guys die a violent death!

In terms of sanitary conditions, the girls' bathroom had an awful lot of tissue paper on the floor (little bits of tissue paper), that was tough to clean, because as you tried to sweep them with the dry mop, they would flutter and float over the mop. So VERY ANNOYING to clean!

Meanwhile, in terms of hygiene, the guys' bathrooms were sometimes so totally disgusting and gross... as though a bunch of male chimps/gorillas/primates had thrown their poop all over the place...

I won't gross you out with too much description beyond that, but suffice to say, that sometimes to clean a mess in the guys' bathroom, I literally had to wear thick arm length rubber gloves, a cleaning apron, green face mask to block the stench, and eye protection goggles, and LOTS AND LOTS of bleach.

So ya...

that was pretty much the difference I noticed in terms of bathroom behavior, at the high school level, for that particular school.

It was actually rather enlightening at a psychological level, I would say.
