Women of Reddit, what thing do male coworkers do that is not quite sexual harassment, but you wish they would stop doing it so you can be comfortable at work?

/u/DaniRainbow laid out a good idea, but I have to disagree.

I'm one of the older generation that was raised with the idea that if someone (male or female) looks nicer than usual you should compliment them to show that you have noticed and approve of the effort they put into changing their appearance.

With that said, the days of it being a safe thing to do are long gone (at least in the US).

NEVER compliment anyone on their appearance (physical, clothing, hair, etc) in any way. Any comment about appearance can, and often will be considered harassment or inappropriate. In today's world you can very easily lose your job for an innocent comment.

It's a shame that it's come to this as the person that put a lot of effort into improving their appearance will think you didn't notice or weren't impressed by their achievement, but it's the only way to be safe.
