Fighting especially on speaker phone or speak to text (or in person also) and not disciplining kids/let kids get away with whatever they want the fighting on the phone one comes from a guy I use to work with in a diner, him and his wife would always be arguing and he (a cook) would ALWAYS, no matter how busy the place was would go to the back (where I was the dishwasher) grab his phone furiously and start doing voice to text or answering his wife’s phone call and literally start yelling cussing her out cussing calling her names, I couldn’t imagine being the waitresses at the time that had to apologize to the customers over it seeing as it was a small restaurant and EVERYONE heard, I worked as a waiter when I got caught up to help out and I couldn’t believe we were apologizing for this dipshit, the second one (the whole kid thing) is the parents that let their kids run the show, at the same diner we had a family of three come in late one night about 8-8:30 pm, the kid being around 6-7, I was out helping get the front ready for close as I got the back basically done, the parents order 3 waters and tells us they just want three basic burgers and 1 order of fries to share while the kid literally starts pulling in the moms shirt trying to interrupt her saying “I want mt dew I want mt dew I want my dew I want mt dew” the mom tries to explain that it’s to late for that and waters fine, the waitress hangs the ticket, comes over with the waters, silverware, etc, as the kid is still yelling the same ole line, so finally the mom looks worn out and says “well maybe it will be alright” when the dad tells her no and that they’ve “talked about this several times” and “his attitude isn’t going to improve of they keep giving in to him” they go back and forth for about a minute when the kid yells “IM NIT DRINKING WATER, ITS DISGUSTING” when the dad tells him it’s water or nothing, the kid says fine then it’s nothing and THROWS his water on the ground (luckily they were our last and only table at the time) the dad apologized and asked for a mop and bucket to clean up and told us not to bring him anything else and to make their order to go, when the kid hears this he says fine I’ll just do it again as he grabs his dads water and throws it, the mom is trying to tell us to just bring him what he wants as the dad is saying no, the kid starts going for the moms water to throw it as she’s trying to calm him down, telling us to just get it for him, as we do, the dad after mopping up, goes to the register, apologizes and gives us like $30 and said “this should cover our food” (which was like over double what their order came out to, and he just walked outside in defeat and lit up a cigarette and waited out there for his wife and kid
