Women Who aren’t in STEM Need to Shut Up about Advocating for Women in STEM

As a woman in science I would have to disagree with you. (Hopefully) everyone can agree that men and women are equally intelligent. This leads to the question why exactly are there less women in STEM?? In my opinion there is a difference between expectations of men and women, the role expected for the woman in a lot of countries is still to be the main carer for the children in the family and to cook and clean etc. Degrees in science or engineering are very time intensive and lead to demanding jobs that aren’t suited to someone who wants to have a family and is expected to take on the brunt of the work in the family. I don’t really understand how someone doing an arts degree wouldn’t be able understand this and speak about equality.
