Women who were once financially struggling, how did you get out of it?

I'm a full-stack developer. I studied/coded for 35-50 hours/week on top of my full-time teaching job. I slept maybe 5 hours per night. That was my life for over a year. I made a portfolio and started mass applying to jobs (I'm talking hundreds and hundreds). I got a few bites for contract positions. I was offered a full-time salaried position after about 8 months of working at contract jobs. My first job paid 2x my teacher's salary.

I didn't go to a boot camp, I just used free or cheap resources online to teach myself. I also applied to literally over 500 jobs before I landed my first dev position. It's extremely difficult to break in, but possible if you're persistent enough.
