Women with flat bellies. What’re you doing? I want to hear answers all ends of the spectrum (healthy and unhealthy).

When I gain weight my stomach is one of the first places the weight goes but luckily it’s also the first place I lose weight. I currently have a flat stomach and finally a permanent 2-pack, a 4-pack on a REALLY good day (yay!).

When I stop paying attention to what I eat I usually hover around 185 pounds which is about 15-20lbs too heavy for my frame. Three weeks ago I got weighed at 187 pounds and I am actively working on trying to lose that weight. Right now I am 182 lbs.

I have successfully lost weight before by counting calories and by trying the keto diet. I hated counting calories. It felt like so much work, and looking back I set my calorie goal too low so I felt hungry all the time. I loved keto because for the first time I felt what it was like to be full more often than not, but it wasn’t sustainable long term for me.

This time I am losing weight by just being a little more mindful about what I am eating and not giving in to every craving. It also helps that I am also super poor right now so I have a goal to eat out as little as possible. I have super good days where I go for a run and come back and have chicken and veggies for dinner and I’ve had 3 shit days where I cancelled my workout and have had candy or junk food for dinner. Balance!

I also put slight effort into being more active, which means I am working out about 4-6 days a week. I get bored if I do the same thing so I have a different fitness activity every day.

One thing that is a constant theme every time I lose weight: drink more water.
