Agreed with you op ,we should improve ourselves first and also be happy with ourselves . We should not depend on someone for our entire happiness , a relationship can be a great source of happiness but you should always have other things going on in your life other than a relationship

But I still think that a person can feel sad/down or whatever if they want to share the life with someone and can't do it with anyone for a long time , being single for a while and being single for years is a different thing Some People hookup , can find intimacy regularly so they don't have any issue , but on the other hand some people don't get to have hookups easily, difficult for them to even find a little intimacy is life for them it's a different thing
