The way to read the shadows is fundamentally the opposite of how you would read the light.

When reading the light you start with Nothing and any additional information is added to the equation. You build from the ground up.

Reading the shadows starts with Everything and any anti-information is subtracted from the equation. The building it torn down from its crown.

Adding information to Nothing is a lot easier for us as flesh and blood beings, because we are aspects of the Everything, and the Everything knows Nothing but not itself.

A paradigm, a perspective that insists that your masks of memories, flesh and bones are simply rented and borrowed is what's required for accurate translation. Perspective and belief really are everything. Whatever you believe yourself to be is the lens through which you see the world around you. It's not enough to simply think you believe either.

Only an aspect of the Nothingness can truly know Everything.
