I wonder how many couples will find out they both have Ashley Madison accounts.

relationships can get into a trap where talking about problems just makes them more acute - especially if those problems are rooted in resentments, insecurities, and so forth.

Most of the people throwing stones over this shit on reddit are like 18-30. Most of them have never been in a relationship that's lasted longer than 3-4 years and they have no idea what they're talking about. From the outside it just seems so simple. Nevermind 10 years from now half these same chumps will be browsing /r/deadbedrooms themselves.

a lot about romance isn't one person stating expectations and the other person filling in for it like a robot. there's ..something fluid to it. attraction, chemistry, getting in the mood and connecting in that way can't be solved away by endless communication. Kids, bills, work, all this stuff gets in the way. YOur partner goes from this thing you used to use to escape reality, to being a part of your reality and that's a helluva psychological difference. You can get to a point where talking about it, gives the issue even more stress and more weight and makes both of you less able or likely to confront it when push comes to shove.

i think what's rich about all of this - is IRL - i've seen people who have had affairs laugh it up at the AM hack as if these people deserve it. This is popcorn time. Saudi and Moroccan gay men worrying about execution, people worrying about losing their jobs, kids looking to be victims of the whole shebang, the people who have already committed suicide. HAHAHA. So funny.

The grand majority of people created an account, looked around, maybe paid for extra features thinking that would "help" either help in finding someone or visibility into profiles... and then left because they realizes the site was nothing but bots and fake accounts.

It's funny as hell how we keep hearing people repeat "there were only 2 actual women on the site" as a nudge to the fact that most female accounts on there were bogus. But yet every guy who was on it is a dirty, rotten cheater who could've gotten herpes by all the pussy he was plowing on the side. Both realities can't be true.
