I wonder if Insta-Ban will show players why instant speed interaction is so important to a balanced and healthy MtG.

It actually would be for many players. There are many ways to go around destruction effects but there are very few ways to go around counters, regardless of how needed they are. With destruction effects you have ways of outright prevent it (return to hand, hexproof, indestructible and recurring effects like revivals) but against counter effects there is only cards that return over and over. It's the form of crontrol with the least amount of interaction, your creature can either return to the field or your hand on its own or you also play counters. I think part of why it feels so bad to a lot of players is that in other card games there are many ways to play against control, here there is only one way and not many decks can shift into being able to play in a way that handles control.
